PepsiCo’s fruit juice subsidiary Tropicana has announced the launch of Tropicana Coco Blends and Tropicana Kids for the US market, as the company “continues to evolve to meet consumer demand”.
Tropicana Kids is a line of organic fruit juice drinks “made with 45% real fruit juice and mixed with filtered water” that is sold in single-serve 5.5 fl oz pouches. Available in Fruit Punch, Mixed Berry and Watermelon varieties, the line is high in vitamin C and comes in windowed packaging “so moms and dads can see the goodness inside”, according to PepsiCo.
Meanwhile, Tropicana Coco Blends is promoted as “a tasty Tropicana juice drink featuring a splash of coconut water”, and is offered in Pineapple and Peach Passion Fruit varieties. The line is sold in 42 fl oz bottles and is claimed to contain 10% coconut water.
Commenting on the launch, Becca Kerr, senior vice president, North American Nutrition Fruit and Vegetable portfolio, said: “Tropicana has continued to innovate to secure our spot not only at the breakfast table, but throughout the daily lives of on-the-go Americans. We’re thrilled to launch Tropicana Kids, offering an organic, premium fruit juice drink for busy parents who don’t want to sacrifice their kids’ nutrition, while Tropicana Coco Blends introduces a delicious way to enjoy the coconut water craze in a great-tasting juice drink”.
