French firm Bonduelle, a producer of canned and processed vegetables, has announced the launch of VeggissiMmm!, a range of fresh and frozen meat substitutes that are designed to turn vegetable ingredients into the centrepiece of a meal.
Set for release in April, Bonduelle VeggissiMmm! will offer products including falafel with chickpeas carrot, courgettes and dates, as well as meat substitutes such as vegetarian burgers and dumplings.
Commenting on the launch, Caroline Nobilé, marketing director at Bonduelle Europe Long Life, said: “VeggissiMmm! aligns to new consumption patterrns. For Bonduelle, offering products that form the heart of a meal is a revolution”.
The debut of VeggissiMmm! follows on from Bonduelle’s recent diversification into other new categories, including the 2017 launch of Legumio, a range of pasta made from pulses.
