Food and soft drinks giant PepsiCo has announced the launch of a new bottled water brand called LIFEWTR that is slated for release across the USA in February 2017.
Reportedly a response to rival Coca-Cola’s Glaceau SmartWater brand, LIFEWTR is described as purified water with balanced pH and added electrolytes. Product packaging – 700ml and 1l bottles – features labels designed by emerging artists, according to information. The RRP of the two bottles is $2.06 and $2.70 repsectively.
Commenting on the launch, President of Global Beverage Group – PepsiCo Brad Jakeman said: “Our LIFEWTR artists will turn the traditional bottle label into a unique masterpiece that speaks to the creativity – and source of creation – linked to the brand’s core […] LIFEWTR is a huge priority for us and an exciting global big bet, and we’ve worked hard to make a premium bottled water experience”.
