FMCG giant PepsiCo has announced the acquisition of 152 acres of land in the Denver Development Area that will be used for a new 1.2 million sq ft manufacturing facility.
According to sources, the new plant will be PepsiCo Beverages North America’s largest and most sustainable.
The new facility will replace a manufacturing plant in the River North Art District, tripling production capacity and created 250 new jobs.
Johannes Evenblij, president of PepsiCo Beverages North America’s West Division’s, said: “With the High Point facility serving (as) a model for the future of PBNA’s supply chain, we’re eager to continue deepening our dedication to Colorado through positive impacts such as new job opportunities and more sustainable business solutions”.
The plant is expected to be operational in 2023 and will produce goods for the Pepsi, Gatorade, Bubbly, Rockstar, Propel and Muscle Milk brands.
