USA: Keurig Dr Pepper invests in Athletic Brewing Company

Leading beverage company in North America, Keurig Dr Pepper, has announced an investment in Athletic Brewing Company, America’s leading non-alcoholic craft beer maker.

According to the Keurig Dr Pepper’s statement, the company purchased a minority stake of $50 million in Athletic Brewing Company in a move to tap into the rapidly emerging beverage categories.

As part of the deal, Keurig Dr Pepper will have an equity stake in Athletic Brewing and the firm will also have a seat in the board of directors.

Keurig Dr Pepper’s executive chairman Bob Gamgort said: “Athletic Brewing is a winning brand in a rapidly growing beverage segment. Our investment reflects our interest and ability to move into exciting white spaces, including in the blurring of the alcoholic and non-alcoholic categories. We look forward to partnering with the Athletic Brewing team to help them scale the business”.

The investment will help Athletic Brewing to grow across North America.
