Multinational Dutch brewer Heineken has partnered with the UK-based online delivery service Deliveroo to offer home beer and cider delivery, according to a report in Business Insider.
The partnership will reportedly spawn a new brand called Brew House which will offer home deliveries of beers and ciders under the Heineken, Bulmers and Sol brands. Brew House is planned to launch in 15 areas across London by the end of 2016.
Heineken’s UK off-trade and category director Craig Clarkson said: “Our collaboration with Deliveroo enables us to enter this fast growing market, whilst building on our relationships with our key retailers and giving our consumers the chance to have the convenience of Heineken brands delivered to their door”.
Deliveroo is an online service that allows users to order food from restaurants and have it delivered to a home or office addess. Founded in the UK in 2013, it has since expanded its delivery operations to the Netherlands, France, Germany, Belgium, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Australia, Singapore, Dubai and Hong Kong.
