To what extent is the demand for “pure”, “raw”, “fresh” and “unprocessed” ingredients impacting the juices category in the UAE?
“Barakat has witnessed a significant increase in volumes in retail for fresh juice consumption over the past years. Consumers are more aware of the importance of consuming healthy drinks. The UAE is exposed to stricter food regulations and consumers are made aware of the good and bad from time to time. Barakat has also worked on a campaign that probed consumers to read their labels. With the increasing demand for new blends, our team is constantly identifying nutritious recipes that cater to the masses we serve. All of our products fall into this category of “pure”, “raw”, “fresh” and “unprocessed” etc. Our shelf life is 3 days; it is a challenge logistically but health & nutrition is our priority”.
