Which markets or consumer groups currently offer the greatest growth opportunities for FMCG companies?
Emerging markets are still an opportunity but more and more companies need to be aware of the appearance of new targets. An example would be the generation after the millennials – “Generation Z” – who were born between 1994 and 2009 and who demand their space in the world; the first group to introduce the internet in their social and learning habits from a very early age; a very dynamic, aware and alive group of people who make technology part of their lifestyle. They will be the ones setting future trends. They are not interested in conventional adverstising anymore – instead their interests are mainly based on the opinions of influencers and bloggers.
