Meiji, the diversified Japanese food business, has announced the launch of Meiji W Skin Care Yogurt, a new dairy yoghurt that has been formulated to protect the skin from UV radiation, as well to maintain hydration and relieve skin dryness.
According to Meiji, Meiji W Skin Care Yogurt combines SC-2 lactic acid bacteria (L. bulgaricus OLL1247 strain and S. thermophilus 3078 strain), collagen peptides, and sphingomyelin in a proprietary formula. Catering to “modern, health-conscious consumers”, the product is reportedly a response to consumers’ increasing concern over the impacts of solar radiation on the skin.
Meiji W Skin Care Yogurt is being released from 25th March in 112g bottles priced at ¥156 ($1.04), with a recommended intake of one bottle per day to achieve the beneficial effect.
