DoseBiome, a start-up firm based in Toronto, Canada has released a new ready to drink tea drink named Qii that is claimed to have oral care benefits.
According to company information, Qīī combats the food sources of “bad bacteria” and “keeps mouths healthy between morning and night”. The product is described as containing XyVita, a xylitol-containing formulation that works by reducing acidity and risk of tooth decay.
Qii Oral Care Dietary Supplement is offered as Lemongrass Ginger Green Tea and Classic Oolong Tea, sold in cans of 8 fl oz.
Commenting on the launch, DouseBiome founder Ted Jin said: “Innovation in oral care has been stagnant for decades. We’re looking to shake up the industry by introducing a new way to care for your mouth – in a delicious drink format delivered right to your door”.
