Natural food company Chickapea has announced the launch of +Greens, described as a new “veggioe packed” organic pasta line with 24g of plant-based protein per serving.
According to the company, +Greens is an organic, gluten free pasta made with chickpeas, lentils, kale, and spinach, available in the varieties penne, spaghetti and spirals.
Each serving is said to provide more than two servings of vegetables, 11 grams of fibre, 24 grams of plant-based protein in addition to iron, and vitamins K and B6.
“+Greens is incredibly versatile”, said Shelby Taylor, founder, and CEO of Chickapea. “You can easily replace animal-based proteins with Chickapea – it’s delicious tossed in a salad, soup or curry, or enjoyed in your favourite pasta dishes. It’s a high-quality, shelf-stable protein with clean, plant-based, organic ingredients”.
Chickapea +Greens will be sold in stores across the US from the beginning of February 2021.
