China: Kerry Group to acquire Jining Nature Group

Global food manufacturer Kerry Group has reached an agreement to acquire Chinese flavour and seasoning company Jining Nature Group for an undisclosed sum.

Through the acquisition, Kerry Group plans to strengthen its presence in the Asia Pacific market. The firm also said it intended to bring a wide range of authentic local and regional taste technologies and application capabilities to the Kerry portfolio.

Founded in 2020, Jining Nature Group is a manufacturer of flavours, seasoning and prepared food products with a workforce of 300 stagg.

Kerry Group CEO Taste John Savage said: “This acquisition will be an important component of our global savoury taste strategy and, as a highly respected leader in the savoury taste marketplace in China, will allow us to accelerate our leadership in the key categories of meat, snacks and instant noodles”.
