Beyond Meat, the US plant-based protein company, has launched Phytosphere, a product range featuring protein powders, bars, beverages and “centre-of-plate” products.
Available via a dedicated website, the new portfolio reportedly allows consumers to “stack” plant nutrients such as protein, fibre, polyphenols, and plant sterols across their diets. The range includes the Beyond Star Series, featuring Beyond Starmatter, a nutrient-boosted protein powder delivering vitamins, minerals, adaptogens and probiotics; Beyond Starcut, a savoury plant-based jerky bar made with plant protein and mycelium; and Beyond Veggie, a plant-based burger made with more than 10 fruits and vegetables, legumes, seeds, plant protein, polyphenol extracts and plant sterols. Additionally, the line includes Beyond Immerse, a crisp, sparkling drink delivering 20g of plant protein, 5g of fibre, electrolytes and antioxidants with 110 calories per can. Products are sold individually or through customisable bundles.
Ethan Brown, founder and CEO of Beyond Meat, commented: “The nutritive benefits of plants are extraordinary, yet we often fail to get meaningful amounts of these superpowers in our modern diet. The Phytosphere portfolio invites the consumer into a world where access to powerful phytonutrition is cutting edge, delicious, and convenient”.
