Muller acquires Berief Food

Muller, the Germany-based dairy giant, has acquired Berief Food, a German producer of plant-based foods, for an undisclosed sum.

Based in Beckum, Berief Food has been developing and producing plant-based alternatives, including drinks, yoghurts, and tofu based on regional raw materials, for almost 40 years. Following the acquisition, Berief Food will continue to operate as an independent company at its current location under its existing brand name.

Marcus Berief, former owner of Berief Food, commented on the acquisition: “I am placing the company and its employees in safe hands. The Theo Müller Group offers the best conditions for continued success. This partnership not only paves the way for further growth but also ensures the long-term stability and development of the Beckum location”.
