USA: Target introduces “sustainable” label Everspring

Target, the US grocery retailer, has announced the launch of a new private label personal and homecare line under the Everspring brand name that is “designed with sustainability in mind”.

According to a press release from the retailer, the line is composed of  more than 70 household essentials such as laundry detergent, cleaners, dish soap, candles and hand soap.

Besides featuring biobased, recycled materials and natural fibres, the products also come with selected “fresh and original’ scent combinations made with essential oils, Target said.

Everspring is also “Target Clean” compliant, the retailer’s definition for products that are formulated without specific chemicals often found in cleaning products like phthalates and propyl-paraben.

Christina Hennington, senior vice president, general merchandise manager at Target, commented: “Guests can feel confident they’re purchasing essentials for their home that include ingredients and components they want and have the efficacy they need to get daily routines done. And, at prices nearly 20 percent less than comparable brands and a focus on fresh design, Everspring offers guests another compelling reason to stock up at Target”.

The products price range in price from $2.79 to $11.99 and were launched in stores on 22nd April.
