Starbucks, the international coffee firm, has announced that is expanding its functional beverage portfolio by launching Evolution Fresh Organic Kombucha.
Acquired by Starbucks in 2011, Evolution Fresh offers cold-pressed juices and smoothies that are made by pressing and squeezing vegetables and fruits, then bottling the juice cold using high-pressure processing.
Evolution Fresh Kombucha is described as a combination of selected artisanal teas that are fermented and paired with the company’s cold-pressed juices, and comes in six flavours: Ginger Lemon Honeycrisp, Mango Pineapple, Ginger Greens, Spicy Greens, Pink Grapefruit, and Turmeric Pineapple Coconut.
Certified organic, non-GMO, gluten-free and kosher, the drink will be available in 15.2 fl oz glass bottles across grocery retailers in major US cities.
