Shamrock Farms, one of the largest family owned-and-operated dairies in the US, has announced the expansion of its production facility in Augusta County, Virginia.
The expansion comes two years after the facility was first opened and will see production capacity more than double, the company said. Once the facility is finally completed by late 2018, a total of 120 staff will be employed at the site, it added.
With an investment of $40 million, the expansion will increase capacity, producing new formats, sizes, varieties and shelf stable products thanks to new technology additions, Shamrock Farms said
“The expansion gives us the capacity and the technology to meet growing demand, expand our offerings and propel milk-based beverages into the future”, commented Ann Ocaña, chief marketing officer for Shamrock Farms.
Shamrock Farms’ products are available in more than 36,000 grocery and convenience stores across the USA, with a portfolio that includes brands as Mmmmilk, Cold Brew and Rockin’ Refuel.
