Shamrock Farms, a leading US dairy firm, has announced an investment of $59 million to expand its milk manufacturing facility in Augusta County, Virginia.
The project will generate 28 new jobs and expand the company’s existing 250,000 sq ft facility in Mill Place Commerce Park by an additional 81,000 sq ft. The investment is earmarked for a new production filling line and cold storage facilities.
Commenting on the move, Shamrock Farms president Devon McClelland said: “We’re committed to growth at Shamrock Farms, and this expansion is the latest milestone in our long history of strategic national brand growth. By continuing to evolve our product lines, facilities and technology, we’re laying the groundwork for future success and our ability to serve quality products Shamrock customers know and love”.
Shamrock Farms products are available in all 50 states with a portfolio that includes ready-to-drink milk and Rockin’ Protein shakes.
The expansion is scheduled to be completed in 2028.
