USA: McCall Farms to acquire Sager Creek Vegetable Company

McCall Farms, a US producer of fresh canned vegetables and fruit, has signed an agreement with fruit firm Del Monte Foods to acquire Sager Creek Vegetable Company, according to a report in Food Business News. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The agreement is set to bolster the McCall Farms portfolio with retail and foodservice brands such as Popeye, Veg-all, Princella, Allens, Freshlike and Trappey’s.
