Cher-Make Sausage Company has expanded its 100 Calorie Chicken Sausage line with the launch of Mild Italian Chicken Sausage and Pepperjack Chicken Bratwurst.
The varieties are new to a range that already includes Chicken Bratwurst.
According to an article in Prepared Foods, the bratwurst products feature a traditional brat flavour and texture containing all-natural chicken while the sausage variety is seasoned with fennel, garlic, and red bell peppers.
Tom Chermak, Cher-Make President, spoke of the launch by saying: “These new products are a great way for the calorie counters to enjoy a great taste of Wisconsin”.
He added: “Today’s consumer is looking for healthier choices, so in addition to the 100 calorie per link sausage additions, we’ve formulated them to be gluten free and contain no MSG or added nitrites”.
