UK dairy and gluten free soup specialist Soupologie has announced the launch of Viva La Vinegar, “the UK’s first collection of cold-pressed Drinking Vinegars”.
The line aims to be a low-calorie alternative to juices and smoothies. The drink is made by mixing apple cider vinegar with coconut vinegar, and then flavouring it with cold-pressed fruits and vegetables, diluted with water.
The new range is described as low in sugar and full of prebiotics and probiotics, vegan, organic, raw and unfiltered.
The vinegars come in 250ml bottles in three flavours – Kiwi & Kale, Strawberry & Basil and Coconut & Lime – retailing at £1.90 ($2.46) a bottle.
In a statement, the company said: “With so many high sugar drinks on the market, we wanted to offer a nutritious alternative that was tasty and refreshing, perfect for taking on the summer heat, without a sugar spike”.
