UK-based dairy firm Pembrokeshire Creamery has announced that the company is investing in its first manufacturing facility, a milk processing site in Pembrokeshire Food Park, in the Welsh town of Haverfordwest.

According to a Business Live report, the new milk-bottling facility is currently under construction and it is expected to create 80 jobs over the next three years.

The firm will reportedly invest £17 million ($20.4 million) in the 3,000 sq m manufacturing plant.

Mark McQuade, Pembrokeshire Creamery managing director, said: “The new site will be the only BRC Certified facility to offer Welsh milk that is also bottled in Wales, and as such, the Creamery will shorten the supply chain in Wales. Pembrokeshire is a fantastic milk field in which to build an authentically Welsh milk supply for Welsh supermarket stores”.

The plant is planned to open in Q4 2023.
