UK health food company Pack’d has launched a new range of frozen protein smoothie kits that are claimed to be developed with sport nutritionists.
Each portion, which is said to contain up to 20g of protein, is made of a mix of fruit and vegetable and whey protein to be blended with milk, water, almond, milk or coconut water. Sweet potato, fig, acai, cherry, beetroot and lucuma are described as being among the ingredients featured.
In a company statement, Pack’d said: “Whether you’re after a nutritious breakfast, a workout boost, daily fuel, or a healthy dessert, with this range of functional Pack’d kits you can guarantee the perfect balance of taste and nutrition, from 100% natural ingredients, without the hassle of buying and prepping expensive produce or scouring overly complicated recipe lists”.
The new range, which will be available in the UK from November, is offered in packs of 2 x 140g at an RRP of £3.50 in the varieties Cherry Choc, Apple Crumble and Strawberry Shake.
