Diageo, the global spirits giant, has released two new RTD coffee products under its liqueur brand Baileys in the UK.
Reportedly a response to growing iced coffee consumption, Baileys Latte and Baileys Mocha Iced Coffee are decribed as a combination of Arabica and Robusta iced coffee with milk, spirit and Baileys Irish Cream.
“The popularity of coffee continues to grow, with over 18 billion cups consumed in Great Britain each year”, commented Sam Salameh, Baileys marketing manager for Europe. “The product will allow consumers to enjoy a mini moment of indulgence during casual get together with friends, both in and out of home, whilst offering a significant profit opportunity for retailers”.
Offered in 200ml cans, both varieties have an ABV of 4% and an RRP of £1.90 ($2.31) per can.
