Global Food Industries, the manufacturing arm of Albatha Consumer Group, has announced the launch of what is described as the “Middle East region’s first-ever healthy chicken burgers and nuggets”.
The products fall under the brand The Healthy Farm and come as Chicken Quinoa & Kale Burgers and Super Chicken Quinoa & Kale Nuggets. They are said to contain a blend of boneless halal chicken breast, red quinoa, kale, and seven other mixed vegetables.
Promoting the launch as “delicious and nutritious”, the company describes the new products as having 30% more protein, 90% more fibre, 40% less sodium, 40% fewer carbohydrates, 60% less calories, 8 times less fat, 12 times less saturated fat and 6 times more calcium than regular chicken burgers and nuggets. The range is also advertised as being low fat, rich in protein and fibre, as well as free from preservatives, trans fats, sugars and gluten, flavour enhancers and food colouring.
The Healthy Farm products will be available in local stores and hypermarkets across the UAE.
Commenting the move, Jacek Plewa, Global Food Industries general manager, said: “Our vision is to have more than 1,000,000 people try our Healthy Farm products in a year’s time—reaching out to families, mothers and kids and sharing with them that they now have a healthier meal option without compromising on taste. We are originally launching this product in the UAE and the rest of the Middle East but will soon expand to other markets overseas”.
