Migrating across London for its latest edition – from its established home at Olympia in Kensington to the more ample surroundings of ExCel in Docklands – Natural & Organic Products Europe returned this April to unveil the latest in “natural, organic, fair trade, free-from, vegan, vegetarian, and eco-living” products from across the world.
Along with its relocation, the show boasted a “fresh new look”, attracting around 600 exhibitors and over 9,200 visitors across the two days of the event. Producers of all sizes – organized into sections devoted to Natural Food, Natural Health & Living and Natural Beauty & Spa – rubbed shoulders with independent retailers and foodservice buyers, distributors, wholesalers, importers, and exporters from across the UK, as well as delegates from high street retailers and major grocery multiples. Meanwhile international visitors from a total of 84 countries were represented – up 7% on 2014 – with the show’s Hosted Buyer Programme (welcoming VIP buyers and prospects from across the globe) reporting a 75% increase in uptake on the previous year.
Among the many dozens of product introductions being enthusiastically promoted by exhbitor companies, an emphasis on beauty benefits, convenience, and health foods as ‘treats’ proved particularly noteworthy.
