Cerealto, a Spanish food manufacturer, has announced the acquisition of Italian pasta producer Pastificio Mediterranea. As part of the agreement, Cerealto will maintain 100% of the workforce, a total of 63 employees, as well as machinery and production lines at the pastamaker’s facility located in Silvano D’Orba, Alessandria. Cerealto, the multinational food company, has signed an agreement with Grupo Siro to acquire two factories from the Spanish group. The two facilities acquired by Cerealto are a bakery in Burgos and a sliced bread facility in Malaga.
