Grupo Apex, a leader in the Spanish snacks market, has announced the acquisition of Patatas Fritas Santo Reino, a manufacturer and distributor of traditional crisps and other salty snacks.
The acquisition will give Grupo Apex its eighth factory in Spain and expand the company’s manufacturing presence to the Andalusia region.
“The acquisition allow Grupo Apex will […] improv[e] the Group’s coverage throughout the national territory, which will in turn improce service to our customers and facilitate the delivery of fresh products to consumers”, the company said in a statement.
Santiago Sala, CEO of Grupo Apex, added: “Our goal continues to be to double our figures every four years, leading growth and value creation in the sector. We will remain attentive to the market to incorporate brands or businesses into the group that allow us to grow and that generate commercial, production, logistics or business synergies”.
