Polish retailer Eurocash Group, the largest wholesale FMCG distributor in the country, has sign a letter of intent to acquire the supermarket chain Mila, which has a network of about 190 stores.
According to sources, Eurocash is looking to acquire a 100% stake in the retailer’s business and has been granted exclusive talks to complete the transaction by 8th September.
Mila currently has 188 supermarkets in Poland. In 2016 the retailer reported the sales amount of 1.49 billion pln ($420 million) and recored 4.8 million PLN ($1.34 million) EBITDA. At the moment, Eurocash has about 14,000 franchise stores under banners such as Lewiatan, Eco, Delicatesse Center, ABC, Euro Sklep and Groszek.
