MANCHESTER – 5th March 2015: This week Gama revisits the trend for textural variety in food and drinks products with a look at a new juice blend containing nuts, seeds and berry pieces – Harvest Soul Chewable Juice.
Promoted as being “unlike typical juice drinks”, Harvest Soul Chewable Juice from Harvest Soul Inc. in the USA features a blend of “fruits, vegetables and greens”, to which are added “easy to chew” nut, seed and berry ingredients that are claimed to have nutritional benefits.
Harvest Soul Chewable Juice is “made from carefully selected organic superfoods” including kale, spinach and blueberries which undergo a propietary high pressure processed method before being combined with “nutrient-rich bits of chewables, like almonds, cashews, chia seeds, flax seeds and goji berries”. The product comes in Green Fusion and Tropical Fusion varieties, variously claimed to be “packed with” vitamins, fibre, proteins, antioxidants, fatty acids and flavonoids.
With its “added chewables” formulation, Harvest Soul Chewable Juice provides further evidence for the increasing prevalence of textural elements in new drinks launches. Beverages that incorporate cereals, whole fruits or other items of textural interest are proving increasingly popular with a diverse range of consumers, whether for supposed functional benefits or simply for the heightened product experience they can offer.
