Dutch multinational dairy cooperative FrieslandCampina has taken over activities of Best Cheese Holland, including brands such as Parrano and Tjiezi.
The acquisition is described as a response to the growing demand of consumers for cooking and snacking cheeses.
“The acquisition of the brand Parrano and the dairy dippers fits in well with our ambition to provide dairy products for all consumption moments”, said Roel van Neerbos, president of FrieslandCampina Consumer Dairy, in a company statement. “These brands are a fine addition to our cheese activities”.
“This acquisition allows for further international growth of the products of Parrano and Tjiezi,” stated Paul Wilde, director of Best Cheese Holland.
Both companies also reached an agreement in principle on the acquisition of the import and sales activities of Best Cheese Holland in the USA.
