Dutch multinational dairy cooperative, Royal FrieslandCampina has took over activities of Best Cheese Holland, including brands such as Parrano and Tjiezi.
The acquisition is a respond to the growing demand of consumers of cheese for cooking and snacking.
“The acquisition of the brand Parrano and the dairy dippers fits in well with our ambition to provide dairy products for all consumption moments. These brands are a fine addition to our cheese activities,” said Roel van Neerbos, president of FrieslandCampina Consumer Dairy, in a company statement.
“This acquisition allows for further international growth of the products of Parrano and Tjiezi,” Stated Paul Wilde, director of Best Cheese Holland “Wilde will remain involved in the activities of Tjiezi after the transaction.”
Both companies also reached an agreement in principle on the acquisition of the import and sales activities of Bess Cheese in the United States.
