Gama spoke to Mark Napier, Show Director, Gulfood, ahead of the latest edition of the Middle East tradeshow.
What should manufacturers do to be successful in the current economic climate?
Innovation is the buzz word for most areas of manufacturing these days as new advanced technology tools such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and robotics come into play. The food and beverages (F&B) industry is no exception and is perhaps even more susceptible to transformation as it is subject to ever-changing consumer trends and regulatory scenarios.
This is one reason why we have introduced the Gulfood Innovation Summit, where the hottest topics now impacting today’s F&B industry will be explored in full. The Summit is a must for anyone serious about remaining relevant in an increasingly competitive industry.
So, to be successful in the current economic and social climate, manufacturers must be ready to embrace change – and fast! To listen to customers and respond – quickly! And to take vibrant and modern approaches to marketing – effectively! One thing is certain, trends are changing fast and keeping abreast is essential – and there’s no better way of doing that than exhibiting and visiting at Gulfood and engaging or networking across our expansive, value-added programme.
