Gama spoke to Anne Schumacher, Vice President Food & Food Technology, Koelnmesse, ahead of the latest edition of the Cologne tradeshow.
What are your expectations for this edition of Anuga?
Anuga 2019 is fully booked which is a great success again. Over 7,400 exhibitors from more than 100 countries will be part of this year’s edition. In addition to that, Anuga is celebrating its 100th anniversary – a remarkable sign of its long-term support of the industry and without doubt an excellent example for the successful development of a trade fair in the food sector. At Anuga 2019 trade fair visitors can expect not only a look into the past and what the industry has achieved. The current new products and industry trends will also be presented in several special exhibitions such as the Anuga Trend Zone and the Anuga taste Innovation Show. But a strong focus will also be placed on the future of food at the anniversary edition. At Anuga Horizon 2050, trade visitors can inform themselves about the visions and solutions for the next 50 years on all days of the trade fair, and also engage in an active exchange with industry pioneers, start-ups and experts. So, overall, we are expecting a great variety of international products and innovations as well as an interesting event and congress program that offers our visitors new impulses for their business.
