MANCHESTER – 17th December 2015: Nepia Deodorizing Toilet Paper, new in Japan from Nepia, is this month’s recipient of the Gama Innovation Award – Positioning.
Nepia Deodorizing Toilet Paper offers new functionality in bathroom odour removal through a plant-derived deodorizing ingredient added to the inner cardboard tube. Specifically, the product’s active agent is claimed to tackle hydrogen sulfide and ammonia that are said to be particularly responsible for bathroom odours. Nepia Deodorizing Toilet Paper comes in a choice of Unscented and Soap Scented varieties.
Gama editorial director Tom Warden commented: “Although not the first toilet paper that is claimed to have a deodorizing function, Nepia’s focus on tackling the ‘root cause’ of odour (hydrogen sulfide and ammonia) seems to be a first. As consumers begin to shun chemical-based household products, these targeted, plant-based solutions to common household odour could become an increasingly familiar sight as a more natural alternative to traditional air fresheners and deodorizers”.
