Personal care giant L’Oreal has announced that it is in exclusive talks to acquire the Thermes de Saint-Gervais-les-Bains brand of spa-style toiletries from fellow French firm Groupe Rivadis.
L’Oreal said it had submitted a firm offer to Rivadis Group for the acquisition of the business as well as the licence to use the Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc brand.
According to L’Oreal, Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc products are formulated with 100% Mont-Blanc thermal spring water and natural extracts of Alpine plants. The brand line offers a range of products for the care and protection of the face and body, including sun protection lotions and anti-aging creams.
L’Oreal said that the acquisition should be completed in the next few months, subject to the approval of the municipality of Saint-Gervais-les-Bains and consultation with Rivadis Group employees.
