Regal Confections, a leading distributor of global confectionery brands, has announced the acquisition of fellow Canadian sweets brand Mondoux.
Founded in 1967 and headquartered in Quebec province, Mondoux owns leading brands such as Sweet Sixteen, Giacomo and Yoma, and has over 200 employees, as well as more than 115,000 sq ft of facilities.
Commenting on the acquisition, Mondoux chairman Jean Mondoux said: “We are incredibly proud of the impact our Company has had for six decades, creating fun and life-long memories for consumers. The transaction was supported by private equity firm Clearspring Capital Partners.
