Canned seafood producer Ocean Brands has announced the acquisition of Canadian brand Club Des Millionnaires from Harold T. Griffin.
Club Des Millionnaires produces a broad range of canned sardine and anchovy products including small sardines (brislings) bearing the tagline “Fish She is Very Small”.
“We are very pleased with the acquisition of Club Des Millionaires”, said Ocean Brands president Ian Ricketts. “Today’s consumers have an increased demand for natural sources of Omega-3, protein, and sustainably sourced seafood. Club DesMillionaires is a perfect complement to the high quality, sustainable seafood products we offer consumers under our Gold Seal and Ocean’s brands”.
Part of the Jim Pattison Group, Ocean Brands is described as the second largest private supplier of canned salmon and albacore tuna in Canada.
