Global FMCG giant Nestle has announced an expansion to its plant-based range with the launch of new frozen dessert under the Haagen-Dazs brand in Canada that uses oats as a dairy alternative.
Launching across most grocery stores, the new line comes in the varieties Chocolate Peanut Butter (rich chocolate ice cream with creamy peanut butter swirls), Vanilla Raspberry Truffle (vanilla ice cream with raspberry ribbons and truffle pieces) and Caramel Fudge Chip (caramel ice cream with fudge chips and almond-based caramel ripple).
Commenting on the launch, Juliane Trenholme, marketing vice president at Nestle Canada, said: “We believe that everyone, no matter their dietary preference, should be able to enjoy Haagen-Dazs. Consumers recognise Hsagen-Dazs for its creamy texture, simple ingredients, and indulgent flavours, which is why we created a new plant-based collection. Each new flavour is made in Canada and is designed for consumers who want a plant-based option without any compromise on texture or taste”.
