Brazil: Sagatiba launches limited edition cachaca to celebrate 10th anniversary

Alcoholic Drinks, Latin America

Sagatiba, a leading producer of the Brazilian sugar cane spirit cachaca, is marking its 10th anniversary with the launch of a special edition bottle design.

Unveiled in 2004, Sagatiba has now completed its first decade in business and is marking the occasion with a new design which is described as promoting the genuine ‘Brazilianness’ of cachaca. The launch is a first for Sagatiba, the company not previously having introduced a limited edition nor made any alterations to the label design.

The novel packaging is said to have been inspired by the 2014 Sagatiba campaign “Contramisturofobia” (“against mixophobia”) which advocates “mixing everything in your life”, including mixing Sagatiba with other drinks. The design is also said to have been inspired by national flag of Brazil.

Sagatiba was acquired in 2011 by global alcoholic drinks corporation Campari.
