Australian popcorn maker Cobs Fine Foods is extending its line of products with the launch of crisps under the new Hip Chips name, according to an article in Food & Beverage Industry News.

The gluten-free range, claimed to contain “nothing artificial” and promoted as “never oily”, is said to contain high oleic sunflower oil rather than vegetable oil so as not to mask the product’s flavours, and is advertised as being made with 100% Australian wholegrain corn.

Described as “a deliciously light blend of potato, rice and corn” with “chiploads of flavour”, Cobs Hip Chips are available in Smoky Chipotle & Beetroot, Sweet Chilli & Sour Cream and Tomato, Cheese & Olive varieties and sell in a 90g plastic bag.
