Gama spoke to Alberto García Romero, Marketing Manager, Dulcesol.

What should manufacturers do to be successful in the current economic climate?

The current economic situation is changing but the recession was so strong that it altered a number of different parameters in our main markets. The price-quality relation is one of our main strengths and consumption at home became stronger vs out-home during 2008 to 2012. This was a good opportunity for us but now the situation is changing again and our efforts must be focused in other directions: in Spain we already have a large market share and it will be difficult to grow in the coming years. Our main growth now comes from international markets and new factories outside of Spain.
