UK: Appletiser targets festive sales

November 20, 2013

Europe, Non-Alcoholic Drinks

Coca-Cola has launched a limited edition bottle for its adult-oriented soft drink Appletiser, designed by musician and brand ambassador Eliza Doolittle.

The new limited edition design is aimed at driving sales over the festive season, and will be available in a 750ml glass bottle from November.

According to Talking Retail, the “stylish makeover” by platinum selling singer & song writer Eliza Doolittle targets a new audience and is aimed at building on the brand’s sophisticated premium positioning. Eliza Doolittle has been a brand ambassador for Appeltiser since April 2013, working on promotions and competitions for customers as part of numerous campaigns.

Phil Thomson, associate director of portfolio brands at Coca-Cola Enterprises Ltd states “Adult soft drinks over-index at this time of the year when consumers want something premium that won’t look out of place next to a bottle of wine on the dining table. This new limited edition design conveys that sense of occasion and we’d recommend retailers stock up on the packs to capitalise on this seasonal sales opportunity.”
