Eli’s Cheesecake, a Chicago-based cheesecake and dessert maker, has announced that it is expanding its facility in northwest Chicago by 42,000 sq ft.
According to the company, the new space will allow for the expansion of bakery operations including the addition of new production and packaging lines and storage areas.
Once the expansion is completed, the facility will cover a total of 104,000 sq feet, including the company’s corporate offices. Employee count will also increase by 75.
Eli’s Cheesecakes is described as a third generation family-owned bakery, specializing in cheesecake and desserts. It claims to produe “the definitive Chicago-style cheesecake”, using an unconventional fast and hot baking method, resulting in a product that is caramelized on the outside and creamy on the inside.
