Spanish-based snacks company Grupo Apex has acquired Spanish Viube Foods, a manufacturer of vegetable crisps.
Viube Foods is based in Girona and produces and markets vegetable chips made with 100% natural ingredients and in an artisanal way, under the Mikso brand.
According to sources, with the acquisition, Grupo Apex has now seven factories and aims to be a ‘benchmark’ in this segment, believing that it has ‘great growth potential’.
The acquisition is Apex’s tenth since 2010 and its turnover in 2021-2022 reached more than €100 million (US$101.7 million), with a growth of 22% compared to the previous financial year.
The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
