UK: Fox’s Biscuits and Burton’s Biscuits to merge

UK based biscuit companies Fox’s Biscuits and Burton’s Biscuits, owned by Ferrero, are merging into a single business called Fox’s Burton’s Companies UK.

According to sources, on the 28th March 2022, the two firms merged and will now be led by Simon Browne, the previous head of Burton’s Biscuits.

Simon Browne said: “After many years of looking at one another, we are excited about bringing together two businesses that share the same passion for crafting British biscuits with care, quality and innovation”.

Fox’s Burton’s Companies said that both firms had “a strong history and heritage in the British biscuit market going back to 1853 and producing some of the most iconic brands that are firm family favourites”.

The new business will remain a part of the Ferrero group after the merger and the new company will be undertaking a strategic review ‘to determine the details behind the transition’.
