Consumer goods firm PZ Cussons has announced the acquisition of Childs Farm, the UK’s leading baby and children’s personal care brand.
According to sources, after the investment, the maker of Carex soap and Original Source shower gel PZ Cussons will hold a 92% stake in Childs Farm for a total of £36.8 million ($48.5 million).
Childs Farm portfolio includes bath and shower, skincare, and hair care products, all of those made for sensitive skin, which according to the company’s CEO Jonathan Myers, they are a good fit for PZ Cussons’ strategy of ‘Building Brands for life, Today and for future generations’.
“As we transition from turnaround to transformation, we are delighted to take this important step to accelerate growth in our core categories and priority markets”, Jonathan Myers added.
Full ownership was agreed to be achieved by the end of May 2025.
