UK based Vibrant Foods, parent company of South-East Asian food brands has acquired paneer maker Everest Dairies, aiming to expand its portfolio.

Everest Dairies is based in Leicester, employing 43 people and supplies paneer products and set yoghurts to retailers and foodservice.

The new brand will join a portfolio that includes the brands TRS, East End Foods and Cofresh.
Besides producing and distributing products in the UK, Vibrant Foods also supplies continental Europe and is planning to expand its range of products beyond pulses and spices to explore the demand for meat-free and high protein products.

Haroon Shaikh, Everest Dairies co-founder and managing director, said: “Everest has an outstanding reputation across the ethnic foods sector and its range delivers strong customer loyalty. Paneer is fast attracting fans across all cultures and countries in Europe and this provides a real opportunity as we invest in their next chapter.”

Co-founders of Everest Dairies Haroon Shaikh and Inayat Fatiwala will help the firm’s transition in the coming months, but afterwards, they will be focusing on other interests.
