Aymore, a biscuits firm owned by the Arcor Group, has announced an investment of over BRL$10 million ($1.8 million) in its factory located in Contagem, Grande Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
According to Newtrade, the investment aims to increase the facility’s production capacity by 20%.
Anderson Freire, director of marketing, research and development at Arcor do Brasil, said: “We acquired technologies and new product lines that will make our production plant even more modern, contributing to the extension of our portfolio, which already has about 50 products. In addition, 200 new jobs are planned for the beginning of this year. We believe in the potential of a traditional brand that is well established in the state of Minas Gerais and we are forecasting double-digit growth for 2021.”
