Aymore, a biscuits firm by the Arcor Group has announced the investment of over BRL$10 million ($1.8 million) in its factory located in Contagem, Grande Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
According to Newtrade, the investment aims to increase the facility’s production capacity by 20 per cent.
Anderson Freire, marketing director, research and development of Arcor do Brasil said: “We acquired technologies and new product lines that will make our production plant even more modern, contributing to the extension of our portfolio, which already has about 50 products. In addition, 200 new jobs are planned for the beginning of this year. We believe in the potential of the brand that is established and traditional in the state of Minas Gerais and we expect a double-digit growth for 2021.”
The announcement comes at a time when the industry celebrates the good results obtained in 2020, since it registered a 15 per cent growth in sales. For 2021, the company’s projections remain positive.
