USA: Ocean Spray launches B1U brand

Ocean Spray, a US-based agricultural cooperative, has unveiled the B1U brand, described as “a line of functional beverages to support a holistic and inclusive health and wellness routine”.

According to a company press release, B1U features on-trend functional benefits, simple ingredients, easy to understand nutrition and recyclable packaging.

The new brand aims to “demystify nutrition so that consumers are able to make educated decisions and ultimately ‘own the one you’ “.

Free from sugar and artificial sweeteners, the line is comprised of the variants I Need a Boost (watermelon cucumber infused water with 60 mg of black tea caffeine), I Need Rhythm (strawberry basil infused water with 8g of plant-based fibre), I Need Immunity (lemon chamomile infused water with 22mg of Zinc and 128mg of Vitamin C), and I Need Power (peach kiwi infused water with 10g of protein).

The new products will be available from December in 16oz (473ml) bottles.
