Spanish pasta manufacturer, Pastas Gallo, has announced the acquisition of Ta-Tung, a producer of Asian fresh ready-meals for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 1980, Ta-Tung produces ready-meals inspired by cookery from Asian countries such as Japan, India, China, Thailand, and Cambodia. As part of the internalization plan of the company, Ta-Tung has recently entered the Italian, French and Portuguese markets. The company, according to sources, has a turnover of €15 million.
The acquisition of Ta-Tung is the first made by Pastas Gallo after the company was bought by a private-equity firm last year. With this movement, Pastas Gallo intends to expand the manufacturing capacity of the company, increasing its product portfolio.
